Organisational background

Copthorne Vets was established in 1980. Back then, we were the first ‘pets only’ practice in Shrewsbury! Forty plus years later and we are still going strong and better than ever.

We remain a vet-run and owned, independent practice that sets high standards of care for our patients, their owners and our team. Our happy team of vets, nurses and receptionists work from a single site just five minutes from the historical town centre of Shrewsbury.

We are a busy practice with lovely clients who want their pets to have the best possible care, providing lots of opportunity to evaluate and manage cases with a personalised approach. We want our clients and their pets to feel important and part of the Copthorne family.

We are equipped with all that you would expect from a dynamic first opinion, small animal practice:

• in-house lab
• diagnostic suite with digital xray, ultrasonography and endoscopy
• modern operating room and large prep area.

But as well as looking after our patients physical needs we care for their emotional needs too, with Fear Free practise at the heart of all we do, and yes that does include lots of treats and cuddles for our patients!
