Organisational background
Young, progressive, ambitious and dynamic, we’re an RCVS-accredited Small Animal General Practice in a beautiful seaside town in Devon, founded by our own head vet in 2014 and proud of our small, friendly vibe and our high clinical standards.
Our second fully-equipped practice is set to open by the river in the village of Colyton in the summer of 2021, bringing truly-independent small animal veterinary care to the Axe Valley and beyond.
Jurassic Vets is a fully-independent small animal practice that exists to offer the best possible care for pets and owners in beautiful seaside Sidmouth and beyond.
We’re pet-owners and pet-lovers too, and the welfare of our patients is both our objective and our reward. We know our patients by sight and by first-name, treating their owners as friends and realising the incalculable value of their beloved pets.
We aim to provide high standard of modern clinical care without the rush and hassle of larger practices. We believe vets and nurses are at their outstanding best when they’re happy, supported and relaxed. Our small, close-knit team love to work together, free to make the right decision for their patients.
“Sidmouth is a great place to live – but more importantly we’re all passionate about our work and strive to be the best we can be” – Lexi Quill MRCVS, Assistant Vet Surgeon, Jurassic Vets.
“After working in a mix of veterinary settings, Jurassic Vets ticks all the boxes for me. Staff that go above and beyond for their patients, support to develop myself professionally and a never-ending supply of cakes and giggles” – Jessica Marshall RVN, Practice Manager.
We’re truly independent – there are no distant shareholders, no turnover targets and no preferred medicine lists here.
Glorious East Devon! Our name comes from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, boasting rolling hills and woods, splendid beaches, cosy pubs and bustling market towns, all within easy reach of the M5, Exeter Airport, Dartmoor and Cornwall. You simply won’t find a better place to live amongst countryside and coast:
“Oh Sidmouth, you’re the town for me.” – The Guardian, Oct 2014
“…a handsome Regency seaside with much to offer, including quality restaurants, independent shops and the sailing club.” – Sidmouth Herald
