Organisational background

We were first established in 1987 starting in a little white cottage opposite where we are based now. We joined the VetPartners family in 2015 and this has enabled us to grow. We are now developing our first branch practice which is very exciting and means we can offer our clients an amazing service in more than one location.

Here at Littlecroft we love to work up cases to a high standard and see them through to a (hopefully) successful end. We have visiting European specialists in ultrasonography and cardiology, and can offer a great network of support in the form of experienced nurses and vet colleagues each day along with a fantastic team of additional staff including receptionists and animal care assistants. We all work together as a close knit team to offer the very best care and compassion to our clients and of course our patients.

We like to have regular team meetings as we feel communication is key, as is cake, and we have regular vet rounds to discuss cases and protocols so we can share our experience and knowledge.

Our team has suffered losses recently - some of our long-term team members going on to complete internships and taking on individual partnership opportunities, sadly things we cannot offer at Littlecroft. We have the benefit of being a member of the VetPartners family which means we are willing and keen to support career progression and can share and have access to the wealth of knowledge within the group from other practices.

Organisation aims & mission

  • Provide outstanding care to our patients.
  • Provide an excellent experience for clients.
  • Be a fun and supportive place to work.

We aim to be a supportive and collaborative practice where we work together to move Littlecroft forward and develop our new branch to the same high standard as a team. We have an approachable management team that aim to involve the team in all aspects of the practice development so our achievements are everyone's.

Littlecroft is people focused. It is nothing without an outstanding team at the forefront who have genuine care and compassion for the animals they are treating and the clients who put our trust in us.

We are a close team that wants to see each other thrive doing what they do best, whether that be consulting, surgery or behaviour - the list goes on for all members of our team.

Focus is on work life balance and we appreciate that while work takes up much of our time, it is not the only important aspect of our lives. We support one another on both good and bad days, we learn from one another and most importantly we are all here at Littlecroft because we want to ensure our patients receive the best possible care while working closely with their owners.

  • Approachable with a good sense of humour, caring and compassionate.
  • Someone who wants to be a part of a developing team and wants to inject both their personality and ideas into our project and to help move Littlecroft vets forward with a positive outlook.
