The University of Central Lancashire is an international, multi-campus university tracing its roots back to 1828 and leading the way in modern learning today.
Today we’re one of the UK’s largest universities with a staff and student community approaching 38,000. Our employment-focused course portfolio has over 350 undergraduate programmes, nearly 200+ postgraduate courses and rich array of CPD courses.
Our new School of Veterinary Medicine is one of only eleven in the UK, and Lancashire’s first.
The School will provide state-of-the-art, sector leading purpose-built training amenities, including high-specification anatomical skills laboratories, simulated operating theatres, diagnostic suites and pharmacies, microscopy labs and immersive teaching facilities to enhance the learning for students studying a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the veterinary and animal sciences. The school focus will be on producing much-needed industry-ready graduates for our region and beyond.

Our ideal employee will take a leading role in the provision of innovative education and student support, contributing to the future design of teaching methods and materials across BVMS and other courses.
Whether you are looking for a Veterinary Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Principal Lecturer position, we are looking for individual who will:
- Be enthusiastic, passionate and collaborative in both teaching and student support, with specialist knowledge to contribute to teaching on our Veterinary Animal Body (Structure and Function) modules.
- Have a detailed knowledge of systems physiology and anatomy across the domestic species
- Veterinary degree or higher degree in anatomy / physiology or equivalent in a relevant subject area
- At SL / PL level, professional teaching qualifications or membership of the HE Academy
- You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
